Solely based on Mancini's reviews (I know, what was I thinking??!! :D) using the Verdict's Amazon links:

John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China (Blu-ray)) - never seen it.
Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead (Blu-ray) - for the new commentary and to have it in HD original 1:33:1 AR

The Losers on blu-ray - finally.

Sheavy - disfigurine - New album by local hard rock act that kicks all kinds of ass. Actually the second time i bought the damn thing, as my daughters CD player frisbee'd my first copy.

Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier - Probably the weakest album they've done since the 2000 reunion, but still pretty awesome.

This weekend I'm going hunting for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Forrest Gump, Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle and My Neighbor Totoro (we've been watching Kiki's Delivery Service a LOT lately, so I'm on a Miyazaki kick).

Sure, it's kind of slow to start, and the graphics suffer some of the worst pop-in i've ever seen, but the writing is fantastic, and the gameplay is pretty kick ass.

The Ex-Mrs. Bradford (1936) from WBonline

Jean Arthur teams with William Powell in a playful murder mystery that proves Myrna Loy isn’t the only beautiful, fluty-voiced comedienne who can trade banter and hunt killers with the suave star of The Thin Man series. The yarn begins when a jockey heads for that great post position in the sky during a major race. Mystery writer Paula Bradford (Arthur) is sure it’s murder. Her ex-husband Dr. Lawrence Bradford (Powell) is sure she’s nuts – until a dead body at the doctor’s doorstep makes him suspect #1. Then the exes are off to the races tracking clues and risking their lives discovering whodunit… and rediscovering why they got hitched in the first place.

Haven't bought anything this week. Not on DVD, but I did use a credit on Snapfish to make and order my own photo book for free. Also ordered a couple of prints taken with my digital camera.

Both should come around next week or so.

Warner Archve Double Features: Girl Missing/Illicit - more Glenda Farrell wonderfulness.

and these DVR's (whenever i order such things...the studios in their infinite wisdom always release it l legitimately making my purchase unnecessary. So I predict these will be forthcoming)

Let me know how the Murder By the Clock is. I'm damn curious.
I saw Black Moon on TCM and it was pretty good IMO. Nice visuals and Fay Wray (another nice visual ;-) ) Would be good to watch with White Zombie and I Walked with a Zombie as a Voodoo triple feature.

PS-Good to see someone else who likes Glenda Farrell. She and Joan Blondell were the top dames at WB in the '30s.
