Inception: 3-Disc - one sister gets the BD's and the bonus DVD I'll send to my mom.
Knight and Day: Blu-ray + DVD Holiday Combo Pack - the other sister gets the BD and mom the bonus DVD.
Marley & Me: 3-Disc Bad Dog Edition - bonus DVD for mom, and a coin-toss determines which sister gets this extra BD.
Charlie Wilson's War - for mom; because "Eat, Pray, Love" DVD is too damn much! ;-)

Busy week:

A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
Fred Claus

Crazy wal-mart 3-pack. Really only wanted the first two, but the price was right.

Bioshock 2: Collector's Edition (Xbox360) - for 50 bucks brand new (regular price 149.99). Never did pick up the sequel, dig collector's editions, and it comes with a damn LP! A VINYL RECORD!

Plus a ton of stuff for Sarah that I won't list on the off chance she's out there listening.

I really enjoy Heat Lightning. Definitely a "under the radar" film from WB and of course it's Pre-Code!

I took advantage of the mad savings at Future Shop this week and scooped up a few movies for myself and the missus, as well as some last minute gifts which won't be listed here, as I've learned that women are a vindictive species that will stoop to unimaginable lows to know their Christmas presents.

Gremlins (Blu-Ray) - This holiday season, I make the wrong things right.

Predators (Blu-Ray) - Now I'm just an A-Team, an Evelyn Salt and an Expendables short of owning 2010's Summer of Action on Blu.

Inception (Blu-Ray) - In a sexy, Future Shop exclusive Steelbwwwwaaaaahhhhmmmm!!

Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy (Blu-Ray) - This was promptly snatched out of my hands to be given to me as a gift, as Miss Elizabeth had been eying it but couldn't justify the near hundred dollar price tag. Sick old savings, eh b'y?

Eden of the East: The Complete Series (Blu-Ray) - Our protagonist awakens in front of the White House with no clothes, a handgun, a cellphone with access to 10 Billion Yen, and absolutely no idea how he got there or why. I'm intrigued.

I've been upgrading some of our Christmas fare to Blu-ray. So far:

Elf
A Christmas Story
The Polar Express

Christmas Vacation (which we didn't own on DVD)
I also nabbed Zemeckis' A Christmas Carol on a whim, and ended up liking it more than I expected. Unlike with Beowulf, he seems to have actually given a damn about the story.

Well, Aline MacMahon's character in Heat Lightning will definitely fit the bill. I love these little "B" films from Warner Brothers that cram a lot of story into a running time of just over an hour and, of course, that wonderful WB stock company of actors.
