Family Guy: It's a Trap!

Postby Andrew Forbes » Tue Dec 21, 2010 11:29 am

Dead-on, Michael. A friend of mine found that this had appeared early on Netflix and suggested that we watch it (he had seen it already and claimed it was hilarious). During the entire run-time, I smirked twice. This thing is painfully unfunny. The worst part is that countless opportunities for genuinely clever jokes present themselves, and the thing just rolls along copying the movie verbatim, or throws in a fart joke or random pop culture reference instead. It's just brutal.

So, it's like every other episode of Family Guy ever made then.

That would have been a more concise way of saying it, yes.

I think Stailey writes under a self imposed 500 word limit or something. Otherwise that could have been the review, and it would have been awesome.

While we are at it, could someone explain why the first two were so good that "Blue Harvest" recevied a score of 88 and "Something Something Something" received a score of 85? I watched the both and maybe chuckled three times between the two (where I can count on three solid laughs per any segment of "Robot Chicken" or any given minute of "Futurama"). I also have to scratch my head in wondering what great comedy has been brought the table on "Star Wars' that has not been done -- ad nauseum.
