Okay, I suppose I should ask...

...did anyone watch the Royal Wedding yesterday?

I'll admit that I got up early and watched the coverage of the ceremony. It was pretty nice. However, I did trade some riffing text messages with my brother Bri (who was working an early shift at his media job). For example, when the Archbishop (he was the Archbishop of Canterbury, right?) spoke of the happy couple being blessed with children, I wrote to Bri, "Luca Brasi is outside practicing his speech". And when the ceremony seemed to drag on after the vows, I wrote, "Come on! There's another couple outside waiting to get hitched by an Elvis impersonator." After the ceremony was over, though, I just went back to sleep until it was time for work.

Anyone else?

I hate to see anyone left hanging like that, so I'll own up. I did not watch the ceremony, but I did catch the "balcony kiss" and the countdown that preceeded it.

Look for my "man card" to arrive in the mail. Should take 2 or 3 days.

I wisely decided to sleep in. The thing about events like that in this modern age is that they will be replayed and often with the boring bits cut out.

http://www.popsugar.com.au/Prince-Willi ... n-16131785 pretty much has the best photos. Of the Aston that is.

Bryon, my man card was over nighted to me for finding the one shining spot of the entire wedding.

I would expand that to TWO shining spots: the Aston of course, and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Check the BBC broadcast for the best footage, they had a commentator and cameraman on board the Lancaster and got some great shots out the nose turret and waist gun positions.

And did anyone notice the number plate on the back of the Aston - JU5T WED! That was as close as you can get in the UK, since "vanity" plates are not available there.
That did not match the front plate, which was probably the actual registration for the car.
