Hugo anyone?

Any thoughts? I'm not sure if I'll like it or not, or even what the target audience is. Is it a kids movie? A family crossover? Fantasy? However it has Scorsese and he directed one of my favorite movies (Shutter Island) and it has Chloe Moretz who was excellent in two movies (Kick-Ass and Let Me In, haven't seen her in anything else) so I'm a little curious. It also seems to have Borat, but I'm not sure what that bodes.

Now being that Scorsese directed and it stars Chloe Moretz I was seriously hoping that someone would get killed in the trailer. We had all the right ingredients but somehow it all turned out differently. ;)

Hmm, a Scorsese film that no one is interested in. Times have changed.

Yes (Kundun) it is hard to (Kundun) believe that there (Kundun) is a Scorsese film that (Kundun) no one would want (Kundun) to see. Times have (Kundun) changed.

I think he's trying to tell us something, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Well, in the 2 1/2 minutes in that trailer, I'm already in love with the photography and I'm a cheese-head so I'm game..

I wonder if Martin was hip on the 3-D thing though? Did he shoot it intentionally that way or was it an after-thought?

Whatever his other late-period flaws, it's difficult to accuse Scorsese of ever treating anything film-related as an afterthought.
