Ben-Hur: 50th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition (Blu-ray) Actually it's the 52nd anniversary but the restoration started 2 years ago so I guess it's somewhat correct. :?

Forza Motorsport 4 (xbox360) - Complete with the wonderful dulcet tones of Jeremy Clarkson's commentary and one hell of an awesome opening monologue from same.

King Kong, the one, the only on blu-ray. And it isn't often a person can say, or admit, that they were able to purchase on the same day new double albums from both William Shatner & Peter Gabriel but there you have it, there it is.

^^^ And those of us not "connected" like Steve have to wait six more days for the actual release date in the States (Oct. 25th). ;-)

Anywho, got Fred Dekker's Night of the Creeps (Blu-ray) because the used BD copy I got years ago went bad and wouldn't play on any of my BD players. It's the first BD disc I've owned that has 'gone bad.' :(

Actually I think I got that wrong. It's Modern Warfare 3 that comes out in late November in Australia. I'm actually pretty sure Battlefield 3 comes out here on October 27...so maybe I won't have to wait that long after all.

I bought Halloween II on Blu-Ray.

I was excited about it, hadn't seen the film in years.

Within 35 minutes, I was bored.

I watched the supplemental Terror In The Aisles for the first time since I was a kid... THAT was worth every penny of that disc. Bought back soo many memories, loved it.

Also, Halloween II does have a nice transfer.... Can any one spot Dana Carvey's very brief aperance in the film? I saw him immediately.

I love you.
It's not as though I really need you, if you were here I'd only bleed you..

Next week, the latest B&N 60% off Criterion sale starts so look out there.

I picked up Winnie the Pooh for the kids...though, I gotta say, it's one of my favorites of 2011. Not only do they not make animated features like it anymore, it's rare to find a movie that uses language so intentionally and with such wit.

One of the many, many times in my life I have been glad to be wrong. Just picked up Battlefield 3 today, so my weekend's pretty much shot (not that I'm complaining) and while I was in the store I decided to grab Pirates 4: On Stranger Tides too.
