He really stole the limelight as Merlin in Excalibur. I wish I could have seen his performance as Hamlet.

Merlin was one for the ages. I'll just choose to forget about Spawn...

I enjoyed his Columbo episode with the killer dogs named Laurel and Hardy!

I missed his passing. Indeed Excalibur would be only an average film with out him.

I also enjoyed him in two low key movies The Wilby Conspiracy and Robin and Marion
