Have I Got News For You

Does the USA have an equivalent of Have I Got News Fot You ? This BBC programme with Ian Hislop and Paul Merton has been going for over 20 years on BBC1, with the original radio programme on which it is based The News Quiz still going strong on Radio 4. It is a satirical (forgive the overused expression) observation of the week's news in a panel game format. Episodes are on YouTube for those unfamiliar with it. It remains as popular as ever in the UK because of the high standard maintained. I would have thought there must be something equivalent on mainstream US TV, as the USA does pick up on many popular British programmes (e.g. Top Gear, The Office, The Apprentice) and make its own versions.

The Brian Blessed episode (and the insanity of the outtakes from said episode) are almost required viewing... Absolute hilarity.
As the ancient Tibetan philosophy states:"Don't start none... won't be none...".

Oh Lord, I love Wait Wait.
I'm just a horse, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love me.
