If I'm not mistaken the sale is for the next month. You've got some time.

What the A/V quality like on that bad boy? I've come close to pulling the trigger numerous times, but 2-packs scare me.

Pretty good, actually. It's a dual-layer disc, and each movie gets its own layer. There's nothing in the way of extras, and only one audio track each, so that's plenty of room. It's definitely worth eight clams.

Agreed. I have the same set.

Don't do it! You're a young man!
Seriously though, the first two movies were pretty straight up awesome, but that series very nearly killed me...

If you want epic, religiously-tinged sci-fi/fantasy anime, get on Ergo Proxy this moment.

Done, thanks. While we're on the subject, what was the anime with the amazingly awesome sword fight that one of you linked on FB a couple years ago? I stupidly didn't write down the title...

How are 1.0 and 2.0? Neon Genesis is probably my favorite anime even though it veers into la la land, but was going to hold off until 3.0 is released.
Could Steve have been referring to Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal or Sword of the Stranger? Both rock.

That would have been Sword of the Stranger, yep.

Thanks. I've tried to find an affordable copy of the Samurai X/Kenshin series, but so far no luck. I'll look for SotS too.
