(i know we have this thread every so often, i just couldn't find the previous one)
i have had a hankering to see Deep Rising again, yeah the one where Treat Williams wanders around a cruise shipping whining "What now" and a sea monster eats everybody. why aren't they putting this out, it's not a great film..but unavailable?
obviously Split Second is still MIA.

THOSE are out of print copies used copies and new UK R-2 issues.
and am not going to spend money on a 1998 image transfer even on my tv it would look like crap.
that is a discontinued dvd and i think it's strange.. i wonder what type of legal mire it is stuck in.

The Blade Runner 5-disc set seems to have vanished. The Blu-Ray briefcase set is going for a king's ransom on Amazon these days. You can't even find an R1 release on Ebay, it's all Italian releases...

Maybe the original source film is owned by some old guy who has it in his attic and has forgotten about it.

The remaining Tati films on Criterion ("Mr. Hulot's Holiday," "Mon Oncle" and "Playtime") will be going OOP (unknown when though) because Studio Canal has taken back all the rights to his movies: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118056538. Just letting you know in case you want to take advantage of the B&N Criterion sale that ends this Tuesday.
