Got another one today that made 100+ posts and even created some of its own. All of a sudden these started happening.

they started slow..1st one was under 50, then it posted 69, then it hit 149 plus those reports
may be its an automatic progression

Also these spammers are screwing up the order of thread history by bumping them with each of their posts.

We did...and that's my bad. I thought I was killing the warnings the spammers keep submitting on posts, but I was killing the threads themselves. Sorry. There's no way to mass nuke a user's posts and deleting 200 posts manually is a major hassle.

Manual deletion would be ridiculous, but weren't the few recent attacks mass-deleted in a single click from the back end?

Otherwise it kind of completely kills this forum. Nobody is going to post anything if we know that a spammer is going to mark the most recent 159 threads fully deleted.

Either way, something's up. I wonder if the server has some sort of virus or something. Any word from the technical side here?

Nope. I banned the usernames and IP addresses and then deleted the posts individually.

That's what i did four days in a row, until they started to overwhelm me.

Yeah, it's a little much when you're dealing with 200 posts.
