The Charge

Yes, you can see changes in your body in just 10 days!

The Case

10 Days to a Better Body consists of two workouts, each just over a half hour. One concentrates on the lower body, the other on the upper body, and both have some ab work too. The latest fad of interval training is in full force here, alternating one minute of toning with one minute of cardio. Each move is actually two -- a basic move and a more difficult version -- the second being faster, higher impact, or requiring more balance. You choose which move works for your experience/comfort level, making this a workout that grows with you as your waistline shrinks.

The moves are easy to follow and effective. There isn't much fancy footwork to keep track of, just a basic move to bust out for 60 seconds before going on to the next. Even us uncoordinated darlings can follow this one. It is recommended to alternate the workouts, doing one each and every day. You'll also need a set of hand weights and a willingness to feel the burn.

Our fearless leader (so fearless she doesn't have any background exercisers) is Cindy Whitmarsh. If this workout is what she does to get her body, then sign me up!

The video and audio help her instructions come through loud and clear. The only bonus included is a typical printed meal plan to help you meet your goals. What's not included is stretching. Seriously, would it have been that hard to add a 10 minute bonus stretching segment, so that all aspects of fitness are addressed? It would have made this disc just about perfect. As it is, doing these workouts regularly have made me feel tighter and the dreaded arm wave jiggle (come on, you know what I'm talking about) appears less pronounced. That makes my body better already, and it's only been 8 days!

The Verdict

See changes in 10 days? Maybe. Feel changes in 10 days? Definitely.
