Christmas specials for a bunch of shows no one cares about anymore.
From the Warner Bros. archive of television, here's an assortment of various Christmas specials. And I wish I could pad my word count further, but, really, that's all there is to this: a bunch of Very Special Christmas Episodes, which aren't terribly special.
Here's the agenda:
Disc One
Dr. Kildare: "An Exchange of Gifts"
The Courtship of Eddie's Father: "Gifts Are for Giving"
Welcome Back Kotter: "A Sweathog Christmas"
Disc Two
Eight is Enough: "Yes Nicholas, There Is a
Santa Claus" (Two-Parter)
Disc Three
Alice: "A Semi-Merry Christmas"
CHiPs: "Christmas Watch"
Perfect Strangers:
"The Gift of the Mypiot"
Disc Four
Mama's Family: "Mama Gets Goosed"
Suddenly Susan: "The Walkout"
Veronica's
Closet: "Veronica's Christmas Song"
You're not going to make me run through these episodes are you? Mr. Kotter pretends to be in a gang, some transient robs the Bradfords, Alice and the rest of the waitstaff end up in a tractor trailer and Mama gets goosed.
Perfect Strangers is the only show I have mild interest in, but maybe a healthy helping of Veronica's Closet topped your letter to Santa.
All shows receive mediocre full-frame transfers, with 2.0 stereo mixes and no extras.
Humbug.
