Cardio workouts that melt pounds and inches
This DVD consists of two half-hour (including warm-up and cool-down segments) workouts, once again lead by the smiley but competent Chris Freytag. The fat-burning workout consists of grapevines, knee-lifts, squats, lunges, and the rest of the typical aerobic moves. The metabolism-boosting workout relies on some fun sports-inspired moves like soccer kicks, basketball dribbling, running, jumping jacks, and the out of place "athletic mambo." The routines are fast paced, but lower impact variations are provided. If you choose to do both routines (a 50-minute total workout) your legs will be screaming at you, thanks to all the squats and lunges. Beginners may need to work up to the full monty.
Three short bonus segments are also included. First up is "Break it Down," a moves tutorial. These can be watched and practiced as a whole, or switched to at specific times during the routines. Next we have "Maximize Your Workouts," a discussion on how to track your heart rate to keep it optimal. Last is "4 Moves to Firm Up Fast," some basic moves with weights to work the upper body.
Overall, it's an effective workout to get your feet moving and your heart pumping.
