Fierce animals need rescuing too!
As if the Dora the Explorer affliction needed to be spread, we have Diego (Dora's cousin) here to carry on the family's proud tradition of torment. The basic thrust of Go Diego Go! is the same: Diego still gets his exploration on, but it's all geared towards finding and helping animals. Along the way he asks for help from you, the viewer; to solve puzzles, choose paths and overcome various obstacles. You know the drill.
Three episodes on this disc, totaling 90 minutes of Diego action:
* "Fiercest Animals!" -- This double-sized, 45-minute episode finds Diego bragging to Rosita and Martin about his past exploits saving the "fiercest" of creatures, which includes grizzly bears and hippos and gorillas. Way to stay humble Diego.
* "Cotton-Top Tamarin Cave Rescue" -- In the heart of the Colombian rainforest, Diego is dispatched to rescue a cotton-top tamarin who, yes, is in a cave.
* "Pampas and Friends Help he Rescue Center" -- There are kittens missing at the animal rescue center and Diego looks to you to help him save their worthless feline lives.
There you have it, enough Diego tomfoolery to gobble up an hour and a half of your toddler's time. And, yes, as much as this shriller little weenie irritates me, Diego will most definitely entertain the bejeezus out of any rugrat fortunate enough to be parked in front of his warbling.
