From Nigel Tomm's official product description:
This is 63 minutes
and 1 second of pure white screen. Nothing less and nothing more. Just shocking
new absurdism. Without compromise. Without compare. Nigel Tomm brings his own
version of William Shakespeare's Hamlet. Luminous. Sensuous. Iconic. From
the moment you touch the play button, the experience begins. Visually stunning,
emotionally precise, the extraordinary awaits you. Probably it is one of the
most intense, the most radical, the most innovative manifestation of the freedom
of thought, of expression and of creation. This is the new Hamlet -- the
most majestic Hamlet experience by Nigel Tomm.
Nigel Tomm has made an entire series, including the following classics:
Waiting for Godot, which is 70 minutes of a pure green screen.
The Brothers Karamazov, which is 70 minutes of a pure magenta screen.
Oedipus Rex, which is 70 minutes of a pure red screen.
The Catcher in the Rye, which is 70 minutes of a pure blue screen.
I'm a big fan of modern art, and this one is simple and straightforward. Nigel Tomm provides a white screen with which to imagine our own version of Hamlet. Static is more interactive than this, but that is the ultimate point. Either you get it or you don't, and I am unsure which side benefits the most. The cover is cool, though, with a simple white ring on a black background. This could be useful if you want to use your television for lighting. It also could be relaxing after a stressful day at work. Then again, watching paint dry could also be relaxing.
