Go on an island excursion with The Wiggles for some tropical family fun time.
According to the disc cover, The Wiggles have been rocking it for 20 years. Wow. Say what you want about their energetic corniness, but they're doing something right: The Wiggles empire is the world's foremost children's entertainment powerhouse. And God bless them for plugging away for two decades. Lord knows they could all retire and spend the remainder of their days doing the backstroke in their oceans of Wiggle cash, but the kids can't get enough!
So here they are with another DVD, an hour-long special crammed with 21 new songs. The hook here is that The Wiggles strum on ukuleles while belting out heir numbers. The setting is a beach so you get a handful of songs featuring hula hoops and hula skirts and leis and pirates and...Al Roker?!
That's right, Al Roker shows up on Wiggle Island to get down with some hardcore ukulele action and he is more than willing to fall into the dance line and bust a move.
The 21 songs:
01. When I Strum My Ukulele
02. Hula, Hula Baby
03. How Many
Fingers Do I See?
04. Henry's Spinning
05. You Can Play the
Ukulele
06. I'm Waving to You
07. Cluck, Cluck City
08. The
Good Ship Fabulous Flea! (Featuring Rolf Harris)
09. How Many You Want?
10. Hawaiian Boogie
11. Ooki, Ooki, Ooki, Hear That Old Bouzouki
12. Hey Hey It's Saturday (Featuring Daryl Somers)
13. Spagnola
(Instrumental)
14. My Curly Sue Doll
15. Round and Round, Round and
Round
16. Bambino (Instrumental)
17. Everybody Loves a Puppy
18. Doo, Doo-Doo, Doo!
19. La Paloma
20. When I'm Painting
21.
Toy Box
There you go, plenty of good time crooning for your diminutive Wiggle-holic. Lots of energy, lots of smiling, and a metric ton of Roker. Well, actually, not so much since the surgery.
A nice DVD: 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, 2.0 stereo, a still gallery and a nifty 20-minute mini-documentary on The Wiggles' world tour.
Not Guilty.
