Move, Breath, Flow!
Zyrka Landwijt is our instructor for Yoga: Gentle Vinyasa Flow, and we are in quite capable hands. Her demeanor and voice set a calming tone, making it easy for us to let go and flow.
This disc contains six practices of varying lengths (30-60 mins) and difficulty levels, created by combining differing segments. All of the typical poses are included and explained in detail in the Pose Guide, for those who are unfamiliar with them. As the title states, the sequences are flowing, and concentrate on stretching and strengthening. At times, a quite difficult pose (like a shoulder stand) is thrown in, so beginners may need to modify to meet their ability level. Everyone from beginner to advanced has something to gain from Yoga: Gentle Vinyasa Flow.
Audio and visual aspects are adequate, using a nature background and soothing music. The instructions are always clear, but the visuals are not, the transfer coming across as soft and fuzzy. There is an occasional pause as the disc skips to the next segment, but this is not a significant distraction.
The court instructs all involved to go with the flow.
