All Rise...Judge David Johnson had an animal adventure last night. It involved a raccoon and a spatula. The ChargeThe ultimate in daring African adventure. The CaseNature TV legend and perennial late night talk show wildlife ambassador Jack Hanna is here to nuke your brain with a staggering amount of animal content. This monster set comes with six discs, each DVD featuring up to six individual Animal Adventures episodes, totaling 11 hours. As the title suggests, all the shows involve Jack bopping around Africa, checking out preserves, zoos, grassy fields, national parks, shark-infested waters, endangered species breeding facilities, and all manner of wild habitat he decides to investigate. Typically, Jack is accompanied by some knowledgeable guides and an assortment of experts who sit down with him and talk shop about whatever adventure he's embarked on. There is a lot of wildlife action here, and if you're a fan of Jack Hanna's laid-back delivery—and it's hard not to be—the copious amount of animal hijinks should keep the interest level high. Definitely recommended, if you can't get enough nature action—and like your presenter in uncomfortably short shorts. Questar's set is long on feature content, but short on anything else. The episodes are given the basic full frame, 2.0 stereo treatment, both of which transmit the African adventuring well. Discs are bundled in six slim cases, making the packing convenient and non-intrusive. The VerdictNot Guilty.
