This yoga practice begins with an ab-centric warm up, followed by the main program which alternates between sun salutations and warrior poses. There are a few (and I mean few) cool down poses followed by a quick relaxation pose. Fifty minutes of YogaWorks: Body Slim will get your heart pumping.
As a flowing workout, we move fluidly from one pose to the next, and you will definitely need strength and stamina to keep up. This is definitely not the place for beginners to start. Some easier variations are offered and demonstrated, but they are few and not explained well at all. Those looking for meditative yoga will be out of luck. This is not a disc to stretch and relax. On the other hand, want to tone and energize? Then you've come to the place! Body Slim is a great alternative to an endless stream of crunches and curls.
The audio and video are fine quality for this type of release. As a bonus for beginners brave enough to give this one a go, they've included a brief Learning Guide where a few of the postures are taught. I only wish this feature had been more well rounded, demonstrating postures on both sides. That would have made it a much more fulfilling beginning practice. Oh well…
