Don't want to do yoga? Sick of kickboxing? Have no use for hip hop? Have you thought about Brazilian dancing? Heh, didn't think so. The folks at Razor Digital hope to entice you exercise buffs looking for a spicy fitness fix into checking out a new approach to sloughing off the fat.

Brazilian Dance Workout pretty much sums everything up: this hour-long program will you have Brazilian dancing like crazy. When all is said and done, if you're not passed out on the floor, consider your out worked.

Vanessa Isaac, a Brazilian performer and dance and fitness instructor is the point woman for the festivities. The entire program takes place outside with a trio of Brazilian musicians doing their thing in the background. Isaac is accompanied by about half a dozen backups.

Like other dance-oriented discs, this is set up in the take-your-time manner. At the beginning, Isaac will lead you through the different movies in slower time. As the workout proceeds, the moves grow more complicated and faster. By the end of it all, these crazy folks are shaking their rump at warp speed. My take? Well, it certainly looks like they're having a good time.

My main gripe with this disc is the horrible chapter selection set-up. For workout discs, especially for a routine as complicated as this one, chapter selections are crucial. But Brazilian Dance Workout has only three chapters in its entire 60-plus minutes of runtime: warm-up, the program, and cool down. That middle one is pretty big. You skip past it and you're at the end. Translation: prepare for lots and lots of pain-in-the-butt scanning.

Audio and video are full screen and 2.0 stereo, but the disc does have a couple of extras. Two audio-only mixes can be accessed to, I presume, offer the newly formed Brazilian dancers tunes to shake their moneymakers to.
