All Rise...Judge David Johnson got two minutes for tripping. Total BS. The ChargeHockey. And lots of it. From Chicago. The CaseWarner Bros. and NHL Studios team up to wrist-shot this big, fat six-disc compilation of noteworthy Chicago Blackhawks games and moments into your face. The first five discs contain complete games; the sixth has a selection of segments that largely occur off-ice. Here's what awaits you: Disc 1 Disc 2 Disc 3 Disc 4 Disc 5 Disc 6 And there you go, a buttload of content, presented in mediocre full frame. I presume this will appeal to Blackhawks fans, but as a random guy who doesn't really watch hockey and knows squat about the Blackhawks, I'll say this much…Huh? Of the five games selected, only a couple are genuinely thrilling, with the winner in doubt until the end. Some games are total blowouts, so unless you can't get enough of watching your team pummel their opponents mercilessly, I don't see the draw. The extras on Disc 6 could have used some more game highlights (aside from the 1961 championship footage); how many times are you going to soak in the sights of retirement ceremonies and the All-Star lineup announcement? I've reviewed far better team retrospectives. The VerdictI wanted to jam a skate into my head, but fans will surely find more value. Not Guilty I guess?
