All Rise...Judge David Johnson thinks "Cowboys defeat Redskins" is racist! Editor's NoteOur reviews of NFL Greatest Rivalries: Bears Defeat Packers (published October 9th, 2010), NFL Greatest Rivalries: Packers Defeat Bears (published October 28th, 2010), and NFL Greatest Rivalries: Redskins Defeat Cowboys (published October 28th, 2010) are also available. The ChargeSpoiler alert! The Cowboys win. The CaseThe NFL's Greatest Rivalries sets are odd. It's difficult for to envision anyone picking these up save for the most ardent fans of the winning team. Here, you get three Dallas/Washington games, all of which end up in the Cowboys' win column. In fact, it's right there in the title: Cowboys defeat Redskins. And to smother any remaining suspense, the complete scores are given on the flipside of the disc case. Random football fans looking to settle in for some vintage action aren't going to be interested. Certainly not Redskins fans either. Who does that leave: the Cowboys faithful. But are even die-hard fans clamoring for these discs? How many times can you watch these? Maybe once? And won't it be tempting to just flip through to the fourth quarter? Who am I to say? Just a bitter Knicks fan who actually wouldn't mind a rivalries set called "Knicks Defeat Bulls," you know, if that actually ever happened. Disc One (11/16/97, 17-14) Disc Two (9/12/99, 41-35) Disc Three (11/18/07, 28-23) You get the full network games, one per disc, and that's it. Chapters are divided by quarters. The first two games are given full-frame presentations, the third gets the widescreen look. Only Cowboys fans need apply, and judging from the high expectations of the 2009-2010 campaign and sluggish start America's Team has endured, maybe some wins will be good for the constitution. The VerdictNot Guilty. The games are here, so what else is there to judge the release
