Case Number 12818: Small Claims CourtCrunch: Cardio Go-Go Dance
Anchor Bay // 2007 // 44 Minutes // Not Rated Judge Melissa Hansen is still trying to get the glitter out of her carpet and off her new go-go boots. The ChargeDance Your Way To A Great Body The CaseDo you want to discover your inner Fosse? Crunch instructor Gypsy (yes, Gypsy) Clark can help you. This 44-minute workout consists of several dance-inspired routines, including a warm up and cool down. Peppy Gypsy and her crew begin with the shoulders and move their way down to the chest, arms, hips, and legs. Just be prepared for much boob shaking and bootie thrusting. Surprisingly, you'll get a decent ab workout, even though there's no floor work. The good news is Gypsy's routines are fairly easy to follow, even for non-dancers. We get to try out some stylized moves while revisiting classics like The Swim and The Pony. However, there is a bit of jumping and hopping with no modifications offered. So for those of you concerned about impact level, you've been forewarned. Part of what makes Crunch: Cardio Go-Go Dance stand out are its overt attempts at sexiness, which begins with the cover—Gypsy in a corset, panties, and a belt. During the workout, she and the girls are adorned in bright colors, sparkly belts, leg warmers, fingerless gloves, lace enhanced pants, and even a miniskirt thrown in for good measure. Probably the polar opposite of the sweats you'll be wearing at home. Combine the outfits with Gypsy's repeated affirmations about how sexy these moves are and you have a workout that's more distracting than it is inspiring. The full frame video and Dolby Stereo sound quality are fine. We're able to see the demonstrations and hear all her instructions and encouragements clearly. The background music is burlesque style and emphasizes the overall mood of the disc. And there are no bonus features. Truth be told, Crunch: Cardio Go-Go Dance is a fun, fairly easy workout that'll get you sweating and help tone your muscles. Maybe it'll help you dance your way to a great body, or maybe it'll just help you embarrass yourself on the dance floor. Similar Decisions
