All Rise...Judge Brett Bcullum just isn't that into this guy who jokes about that thing. The ChargeHey you're THAT guy from THAT thing! Build me a house! The CaseGreg Behrendt is That Guy from That Thing is a comedy DVD that showcases a comic who I would not recognize if he mugged me on a street. He kind of looks like Ty Pennington from that Home Makeover show, but I've never seen this comic on his own special. Sure I sort of liked He's Just Not That Into You, but I was never too curious about the comedian who helped write it. I totally missed Greg's short lived talk show, and apparently I was not the only one. Behrendt likes to make funny comments about dating and commitment just like the book he helped to co-author. He jokes about relationships, and how men and women see each other quite differently. This is a nice set that you can probably watch with your girlfriend or boyfriend and get a chuckle or two about what you both think about the issues he brings up. There's jealousy, honesty, and an endless sea of jokes about what guys do to impress girls and each other. The DVD from Image is just fine in the technical department. We get a solid widescreen transfer that renders solid colors and clear dialogue. Audience noises are delivered in full surround, but the routine is focused on the front two channels primarily. Extras include "Ask Greg" webisodes which features Greg giving advice to the lovelorn. Also included are some deleted sequences which are simply a handful of outtakes that were excised from the final cut. It's a little puzzling, but the joke about "You're that guy from that thing!" are included in the deleted scenes. That's kind of odd! But overall we get nice extras to round out a nice package. Greg Behrendt is That Guy from That Thing works fine if you're in the mood for comedy about relationships. He's got enough material to work with, and certainly never will have a shortage since it's a sore spot for all of us. I like his demeanor, and any forty-five year old sporting a bleached out high and tight haircut while rocking a wallet chain gets my vote. This one is a pleasant enough way to spend an evening with a guy who is funnier than Ty Pennington. Now…MOVE THAT BUS! The VerdictGuilty of making you giggle a bit about guys, girls, and the problems they
face in relationships. Give us your feedback!Did we give Greg Behrendt Is That Guy From That Thing a fair trial? yes / no Share This ReviewAdditional Purchase Recommendations
