All Rise...If Judge David Johnson admits to finding Martha Stewart somewhat hot in her Gothic get-up, will that result in an awkward moment? The ChargeMarrrrrrrrr!tha The CaseThese "best of" Martha Stewart Living collections are just pouring out of Warner Brothers. This installment has been timed to release with the autumn/Halloween season and, I gotta tell you, Martha has some pretty good ideas here. As is the playbook with these releases, clips from Living are culled to fit into the theme, then distributed to different categories within the DVD. • "Pumpkins" • "Costumes" • "Decorations" • "Treats" • "Trick-or-Treat Bags" • "Makeup" Lots and lots of stuff here, and Stewart goes into detail for each project, mapping out the step-by-step creative process. She's often accompanied by a fellow craftsperson. Look, I'm about as far from a quaint homemaker as you'll find, but there's some clever things here. Anyone with a DVD player, a nearby Wal-Mart, and semblance of gross motor skill should be able to turn his or her house/window sill/front lawn/child into a bastion of Halloween craziness. Full frame, 2.0 stereo all around, but it's suitable for the content. The extras cabinet is bare, though the included Internet link for printable recipes and instructions is a convenient addition.
