WEEKEND RECESS
Welcome to the first edition of Verdict's Weekend Recess, our new off-the-clock look at the world of entertainment. In addition to our normal 5-day run of DVD reviews and podcasts, this sixth day gives us the opportunity to offer up features and reviews from our personal collections, play catchup on projects that may have slipped through the cracks, and present new material that falls just outside the DVD realm. The highlight of today's lineup is a new podcast from the team of David Johnson, Erich Asperschlager, and Adam Arseneau called Forward Down Forward High Punch, which takes a look at the world of Video Gaming through the irreverent Verdict filter.
We're also proud to introduce a new regular feature for TV Verdict from Judge Mac McEntire called Saturday Morning Cartoon, in which he explores the current state of animation residing in this once proud programming slot. This week, it's Ben 10: Alien Force in the hot seat. Enjoy!
We are sad to report the passing of Judge Melissa Hansen's father today at the age of 69. He was a good man and will be greatly missed.
