All Rise...

Judge Melissa Hansen spends 20 min a day flexing her critical muscles.

The Charge

Tone your arms, trim your thighs, and flatten your abs in time for your big day—or any special event.

The Case

OK, let's get it out of the way: You do not need to be getting married to use and enjoy this DVD. There is really no such thing as a "wedding workout," it's just a regular old workout with a fancy marketing ploy. But lucky for us, it is also a good workout. A little aerobics, a little stretching, and a lot of toning—all led by not too annoying Marie Forleo.

There are five basic segments:
Warm-up (4 min)
Power Cardio (11min)
Upper Body (12 min)
Lower Body (11 min)
Abs & Core (11 min)
Cool-down (3 min)

You can follow the preset workouts or design your own sequence. There is even a schedule of which workout to concentrate on depending on your goals. The moves are based on the basic curls, lifts, lunges, squats, and crunches we've all done a million times, but Marie adds style and sequencing that makes them fun…and effective. I definitely felt my muscles burn the next day.

One area that is slighted, however, is cardio. You could do that segment a few times, or just use this disc for toning and go for a walk or run. Also, there is only one warm-up and one cool-down, so if you are alternating upper and lower body work, the beginning and ending of the each will be the same (read boring).

The bonus segments are really targeted for that "big day." They are just a couple minutes each and teach you how to walk in high heels, what to eat so you are not boated, and how to strip (which is all you need to love your honeymoon, obviously).

I'm not getting married anytime soon, but I will definitely be doing The Wedding Workout. Now I just have to explain to my panicked boyfriend what it's doing on my shelf.
